We have so many amazing businesses in our directory from around the world, including of course the UAE and the Middle East-based businesses but also some cool zero-waste businesses from Asia & Europe as well.
By giving you a directory of sustainable and zero-waste businesses, we are propelling our conscious consumerism movement. When we talk about issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, etc, and how our world can adopt new ways to solve these problems; we need to remember that we all have not just one but two roles to play.
The first role is at work, whatever field we are working in, we all can build awareness by taking some basic sustainability education (try our short courses and e-books) and then try to integrate it at work.
The second role is as a consumer, where we can create a demand for more sustainable solutions and sustainable industries by using our consumer power. And that’s why we have been educating you about how to live a planet-friendly lifestyle all these years. Especially when it comes to a waste-free or minimal waste lifestyle, it is directly linked to the circular economy model, which we need our industries to adopt to reduce their negative impacts on the environment, society, and economy.
Why Zero Waste Directory?
Since 2015, when I first started my attempt at a zero-waste lifestyle, Sustainability Tribe has been a go-to resource for zero-waste tips for the entire MENA region (the Middle East and North Africa). Our Zero Waste Shopping Guide is still one of the most popular articles on our web portal. After the launch of our #ZeroWasteUAE Social Initiative, we saw a huge response from our regional community of consumers and entrepreneurs resulting in the new ecosystem of zero waste infrastructure like refill stations, small businesses offering zero-waste solutions which created a zero waste movement in the region. Over these years, our Tribe always reached out to us whenever they wanted to know any authentic and reliable sustainable, zero-waste solutions. This is the reason why we have created this ‘Zero Waste Directory’.
About Zero Waste Directory
Our Zero Waste Directory however is not limited to only the MENA region but will list all kinds of big and small businesses from around the world who help our global Tribe in living a zero-waste life via their zero waste products, services, or educational resource, or any organization which supports circular economy model within their operations, products design, supply chain, etc. Additionally, businesses that have started a mission of becoming a zero-waste business be it their office or manufacturing facility can also list themselves.
